The New York Grand Opera will audition and select singers with the vocal capability and intuitive musical and dramatic feeling that are the core ingredients for the artistic rendering of operatic roles. The polishing of these ingredients for performance will be accomplished by the preparation they receive at the New York Grand Opera for each production.

The principal New York Grand Opera productions will all involve the New York Grand Opera Orchestra, the performances of which will be prepared, directed and conducted by maestro Angland and appointed associates.

Many years ago, there was a former New York Grand Opera that was part of another entity directed by the late Vincent La Selva, which gave opera performances in Central Park from 1973-2012, then stopped producing performances and permanently closed.

Vincent La Selva (Ida Angland's mentor),  helped to inspire the New York Grand Opera that exists today.
